The New Hope Community Church will launch a comprehensive math tutoring program in the city of Coolidge. The Project Hope Summer Math Program will include certified teaching instruction to help students build math skills needed to get ahead.
The mission of the New Hope Community Development Program is to motivate children to enhance classroom instruction through educational resources that empower success in learning, building long term study habits that foster classroom improvements and skills to get ahead.

As an educator, I believe the purpose of education is; to mold and develop blossoming minds, to reach their highest potentials. Ruth J. Conrad is currently a certified K-8 teacher, who recently retired after teaching 6th Grade Science at Eloy Junior High School. She is a proud graduate of Grand Canyon University (Bachelor of Science in Applied Management) and Arizona State University (MEd). She completed her provisional endorsement in Gifted Education. Facilitating learning is her passion. While employed at Eloy Junior High, she established a reading program to get students excited about literacy and involved parental accountability in the home to document progress among the students. During her career, she created a “Reading Buddy” program with 6thGraders reading weekly with 2nd graders which was richly received at Santa Rosa Day School on the Tohono O’odham Nation. She remains actively engaged in teaching as a substitute teacher for SWING and ESI,LLC in Pinal County.
The New Hope Community Church will launch a music enrichment program for Youth 6-17 in the city of Coolidge. The Project Hope Summer Music Program will include certified teaching instruction to help students develop a musical ear and learn skills to play a musical instrument.
The mission of the New Hope Community Development Program is to motivate children to enhance classroom instruction through educational resources that empower success in learning, building long term study habits that foster classroom improvements and skills to get ahead.
As part of this program your student will complete the following objectives:
1. Identify notes on the keyboard and drum rhythm.
2. Learn fundamentals of music such as maintaining a steady beat.
3. Perform basic songs on the keyboard and drums.
4. Play with others and alone.

Elizabeth Lockhart was born in Mesa, Arizona. It was there where she received her experience and education. She took piano lessons starting at the age of 6 and continued throughout her school years to receive her Associate of the Arts degree with high distinction and a major in Jazz Piano Performance. She took time off before beginning Bachelor’s of Music Education. While getting her degree she spent four years working at Chase Bank and teaching Jazz Band at Skyline High School.
Upon graduation, she began teaching at Heartland Ranch Elementary in Coolidge, AZ in July 2016. Her positions at the school are General Music K-3rd grade and Band Director 4-6th grade. This job allowed her to work with many different age groups and learning types. She is able to differentiate lessons to captivate students of all ages and abilities. Through the years she has played at several different churches, restaurants, and other private parties.
